It is with regret that Netherton Tractors have been informed that Kverneland are to serve us notice as their franchise holder. This has come about as a restructure of the Kubota franchise of which we have unfortunately become a casualty. Kubota have decided they now want to pursue a full line franchise with the brands they own.
Discussions with Kverneland had been ongoing over the last few months regarding our expansion plans with John Deere but it became apparent in the last 3 weeks, for both Netherton and the senior management in Kverneland, that this decision was going to be taken out of their hands.
We can all hold our heads high in knowing that we gave Kverneland 100% commitment and in return they were of a great support to us. We had achieved Gold dealer status and were one of their highest performing, if not the highest performing, dealer in the country.
The relationship that some of you have had with Kverneland and Netherton Tractors goes back many decades and we share your disappointment at this news.
For Netherton Tractors it is another part of the exciting chapter in our history where we will now be actively looking for new franchises to fill this gap and join us at our existing depots and in our expansion across the Perthshire, Turriff, and Nairn areas.
